The SEO Opportunity

Paid Ads Rent Traffic.
SEO Builds It.

Every D2C brand running paid ads is renting attention. The moment the budget stops, the traffic stops. SEO is the only digital marketing channel where the work you do today continues paying back six, twelve, and twenty-four months from now — without an incremental cost attached to every click.

For Shopify brands specifically, the SEO opportunity is enormous and systematically underused. Most Shopify stores have product pages that Google cannot read properly, meta descriptions that nobody optimised, and zero strategy behind the keywords they are or aren't targeting. Your products are invisible for searches where buyers are actively looking for exactly what you sell.

We fix that invisibility. Every product page becomes a ranked asset. The Google Shopping carousel — the image-first results at the top of product searches — becomes a source of free, high-intent organic traffic. And the keyword strategy we build covers both the high-volume competitive terms and the long-tail searches that are easier to rank for and often convert at a higher rate because the intent is more specific.

Three channels SEO opens for your brand
Google Organic Search

Your product and category pages ranking in the ten blue links. High-intent buyers searching specifically for what you sell, clicking for free.

Google Shopping Organic

Image-first product listings at the very top of search results. Shoppers see your product photo and price before clicking. Optimised product feeds capture this free placement.

Long-Tail Discovery Traffic

Specific question-based and comparison searches that signal high purchase intent. Easier to rank for, highly relevant, and often the last search before a buyer converts.

We have audited dozens of Shopify stores. The problems are rarely exotic. The same two mistakes come up again and again — and both are completely fixable. The question is whether you are making them right now without knowing it.

Mistake 01

Duplicating a product page and forgetting to change the URL.

This is one of the most damaging things you can do to your SEO and most brands have no idea they are doing it. Here is how it happens: you want to create a new product page quickly, so you duplicate an existing one as a starting point. You update the title, the images, and the description — but you forget to change the URL slug. Now you have two pages with different content sharing the same or near-identical URL structure.

Google sees this as duplicate content. It cannot decide which page to rank, so it often ranks neither — or splits the authority between them, weakening both. Every new product page on your store should have a unique, keyword-informed URL written from scratch. Not duplicated. Not auto-generated from the title. Written deliberately.

If you have ever used the "Duplicate" button in Shopify to create a new product page, check your URL slugs now. There is a very high chance at least one of them is wrong.

Mistake 02

Leaving every meta title and meta description blank or auto-generated.

Shopify auto-generates meta titles from your product name and leaves descriptions empty unless you fill them in manually. Most brands never touch them. This is one of the most significant missed opportunities in Shopify SEO because meta tags are the two most direct levers you have to tell Google what your page is about — and to tell a buyer in the search results why they should click yours instead of the competitor above or below you.

A properly written meta title gets your primary keyword in front of Google in the most visible way possible. A well-written meta description with a clear benefit and a reason to click can double your click-through rate on the same ranking position. Every product page is leaving organic traffic on the table until its meta tags are written with intent.

Go to any product page in your Shopify admin and scroll to the bottom. If the SEO preview shows a machine-generated title and no description, you are losing clicks on every search your page appears in.

Are you making either of these mistakes right now?

These are the first two things we fix in every audit. Both are fixable within a week. And fixing them alone can produce measurable ranking improvements.

Product Page Optimisation

Every Product Page Is a
Rankable Asset. Most Are Not Ranked.

A Shopify product page out of the box is structurally invisible to Google. There is no keyword strategy behind the title, the description is usually copied from the manufacturer, the meta tags are either missing or auto-generated, and the image alt text is blank. Google cannot rank what it cannot understand.

We optimise every product page from the ground up. The title gets the primary keyword plus the specific variant buyers search for. The description is rewritten to be genuinely useful — covering the product's use cases, the buyer's questions, and the long-tail keyword variations naturally embedded throughout. Meta title and description are written to rank and to earn the click — because ranking page two is worthless, and ranking page one with a weak meta description means someone clicks the competitor below you instead.

We also connect the dots between your Shopify product data and Google Merchant Center, ensuring your product feed is clean, complete, and properly categorised — which directly impacts your eligibility for Google Shopping organic listings at zero cost per click.

Product page elements we optimise
Title Tag with Primary Keyword

Written for the exact search query your buyer types, not just your brand's product name.

Meta Description Written to Convert

Ranks the page and earns the click — the two jobs most meta descriptions fail at simultaneously.

Product Description with Long-Tail Keywords

Naturally embedded keyword variations covering every way a buyer might search for this product.

Image Alt Text on Every Asset

Every product image properly described for Google Image Search and accessibility compliance.

Google Merchant Center and Product Feed

Clean, categorised, complete product data feeding Google's Shopping listings — organic and paid.

This Is What Optimised
Product Data Gets You.
